Speakers:
Dr. Claudio Calì, Expert in public relations and communication. In this field, he works as a trainer in specific courses and as a consultant, working with professionals, managers, public institutions and private companies. For the latter, he also intervenes in the context of internal communication in order to improve the work climate and the organizational well-being.
He also gives communication courses in the field of occupational health and safety (updates and legal qualifications) on the topics of technostress, persuasive communication and organisational well-being. He is a civil mediator. The perception of risk depends on rational factors, such as the use of probability and logic, but also strongly on emotions.
Emotions play an important role both in understanding the extent of the risk and in perceiving it.
Furthermore, in emergency situations, emotions can decisively determine the outcome.
This is why emotional intelligence is of essential importance for those responsible for safety.
It is the factor that makes the difference.
Knowing it and knowing how to train it is therefore fundamental.
The training course illustrates the essential communication tools for understanding others, gaining their attention and changing their perception of risk, even in emergency situations.

Speakers:
Dott. Paolo Moscetta, Prevention technician coordinator with U.P.G. qualification at ASL Roma 2.Events that have a strong impact on structures, systems and people require rapid and effective responses to best protect company assets and the health of occupants.
For this reason, companies draw up specific management and intervention plans, but the first response to an emergency is often chaotic and disorganized.
The procedures and operating instructions defined for such contexts do not guarantee with certainty that everything will be resolved for the best because what is learned in "normal conditions" and net of simulations often takes a back seat to the emotional response to the emergency.
The training course aims to illustrate which organizational strategies and which techniques can be implemented to act safely in the face of critical events, learning from what emerges from the reports and the analysis of recurring "errors".

Being able to convince the worker to adopt virtuous behaviors in the context of safety is fundamental but it is not always easy: distrust, underestimation of risks, cognitive dissonance, prejudices, are some of the obstacles.
Thus, often, a sense of frustration, anger and impotence take over.
So what to do, in the face of resistance to adopting virtuous behaviors? Are there suitable tools to ensure that the communication of safety managers is therefore effective and persuasive?
The training course intends to provide employers, managers, supervisors, RSPP, ASPP and all those who play a role aimed at prevention, the most suitable tools to be credible leaders and positively influence the behavior of workers.

The application part will be dedicated to the creation and practical implementation of two Machine Learning models, developed with no-code AI platforms (therefore without the need to write code), to address two key problems in fire safety:
- Instant detection of obstructions on doors or fire extinguishers: the computer vision model identifies the obstacle in real time and immediately sends an alert to the control personnel.
- Predictive maintenance of fire pumps: a predictive analytics algorithm analyzes sensory logs and signals the probability of failure in advance, allowing targeted interventions before the emergency.
At the end of the course you will have seen how to transform Machine Learning from an abstract concept to an operational tool, capable of concretely raising the level of fire safety in your organization.

Alessandro Rossetti, Mechanical Engineer, Expert Trainer in Health and Safety at Work
Luca Terranova, Mago Novas, Professional Illusionist, Italian Magic Champion
We will start with a simple question: When an alarm sounds...what should I do?
We probably all have an answer and if not, it will be easy to find it.
So let's move on to question 2, the most difficult one: "Finding myself in an emergency situation...what will my brain suggest to me?"
We will study the cognitive errors related to our behavior in an emergency to correct them!
We all risk facing a dangerous situation only by relying on our "habits" and our "perception" that could lead us to dangerous errors!
We will then study all the dead times, the useless waiting times...before running away!
The aim is to make participants aware of errors and distractions and to do so we will use illusion!
Professional magic tricks, performed live and subsequently explained, will make us understand how central habit is in our life!
Habit means always behaving in the same way, especially when you are in an emergency situation and you are unable to reason.
Finally, we will study the information that our brain does not process, even though it is evident, even though it has been clearly seen by our eyes. We will then teach students some illusionist tricks to touch "with their hands" the numerous cognitive errors linked to habit.

Panic is a very common reaction in an emergency, and its effects can be extremely harmful to the worker and the entire company.
In order to avoid serious risks, it is therefore necessary to be ready to face an emergency during work, that is, to know exactly what to do.
This concept is reiterated in letter T of Article 18 of Legislative Decree 81/08 “Obligations of the employer and manager”, which attributes to the Employer the responsibility to “adopt the necessary measures for the purposes of fire prevention and evacuation of the workplace, as well as for the case of serious and immediate danger, according to the provisions of Article 43.
These measures must be appropriate to the nature of the activity, the size of the company or production unit, and the number of people present”.
