Workshop on the correct maintenance of SMOKE AND HEAT EVACUATORS The systems include: Forced EFC - Natural EFC - PDS, Pressure Differential Systems

Overview of maintenance regulations and a summary of the main operations and their periodicity.

Natural (SENFC) and forced (SEFFC) smoke and heat exhaust systems
An overview of the regulatory principles for the maintenance of smoke and heat evacuation systems, both natural (UNI 9494-1) and forced (UNI 9494-2), with reference to maintenance (UNI 9494-3).
The processes of planned maintenance, verification of conformity, and technical documentation are explained.
There will be practical demonstrations of the visual and functional inspection of smoke and heat evacuation system components, including barriers, evacuators, ducts, dampers and power supplies.

PDS, Differential Pressure Systems
An overview of the regulatory requirements for the design, installation and maintenance of differential pressure systems (UNI EN 12101-6 and EN 12101 series for components).
The phases of planned maintenance, which include inspection, surveillance, periodic checks, logbooks, ordinary and extraordinary interventions, checks and replacements using specific instruments and checklists, are explained.
The session includes practical exercises on visually and functionally inspecting the components of a differential pressure system, including verifying wiring and interconnections. The procedures for restoring and replacing the control centre, as well as operating it, are explained, with a particular focus on the emergency plan.

The session will last 2 hours, divided as follows:
10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.: 1 hour Theory in Sala Laboratori 1 (Workshop Room 1), led by ZENITAL
11.45 a.m. to 12.45 p.m.: 1 hour of practical demonstration in the Area Dimostrazioni Laboratori Manutenzione (maintenance workshop demonstration area) - 20 min for each topic - led by ZENITAL
