FIRE PREVENTION SEMINARY REFRESHER HOURS ex 818/84 PROFESSIONAL TRAINING CREDITS
THURSDAY 18 SEPTEMBER 2025
09:30 - 13:00

SEMINAR ROOM 4

PAV. B – LANE B1

In the first part of the seminar, a detailed case history will be presented concerning the fire protection design of a civil-use building characterized by a high level of occupancy and structural complexity. The focus will be mainly on compartmentation methods, a crucial element in this case, considering the building’s complex layout and the presence of two existing activities subject to different regulations and ownership.
The functionality aspects of the environments will be analyzed, with particular emphasis on the correlation between their intended use and fire prevention requirements, to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The presentation will be supported by specific references to current applicable regulations for both existing and new activities, highlighting the differences and procedures to follow.
Additionally, detailed guidance will be provided on the documentation to be submitted to the Fire Brigade Command to obtain the conformity opinion as required by Article 3 of DPR 151/2011.

In the second part of the seminar, a series of innovative passive fire protection systems used for the penetration of electrical, air duct, and mechanical installations will be presented to ensure the integrity of fire compartments. Product analysis aspects will be covered to identify the most suitable solution for the specific context, as well as installation methods, technical documentation, and the certifications required by the technician preparing the certification statement for the submission of the fire prevention SCIA.

In the third part of the seminar, some innovative systems for roof penetrations will be presented to ensure that the chimney-roof junction is protected from the fire risk posed by combustible structural and insulation components due to the ignition of soot in solid fuel heating systems (wood, pellets, wood chips). For this type of product, information will also be provided on CE marking and the correct interpretation of the supporting documentation required for the preparation of the certification statement.
