Technical standards often do not allow company involved in Fire Systems to be able to be in position to take reponsability of the functional operation of the fire system / device.
That’s thew case of UNI 9994-1:2024 related to maintenance of fire extinguishers, and of the UNI 11224: 2014 related to the maintenance of Fire Detection systems.
Within this scenario M.A.I.A. Association has set some proposal:
- Re-opening of the working groups UNI for revision of the UNI 9994-1:2024.
- Proposal for companies qualification, as mandatory and unique requirement to operated in the maintenance market, with the firm purpose of suppling a clear instrument to recognize the professionality of the companies involved in fire maintenance.
