Turin, December 6, 2007, had just begun when a fire at the Thyssenkrupp plant took the lives of seven people. This accident had a significant impact on jurisprudence and public opinion. It sparked a wave of indignation over workplace deaths that resulted in the approval, a few months later, of the Consolidated Law on Safety. It was always too late.
