SAFETY INTERACTION POINT – SWS
PAV. B – LANE B4
Edited by:
SWS
Permanent vertical ladders are at the heart of significant regulatory developments, with new technical standards impacting the design, installation, and safe management of access to heights.
This session will provide an update on the key changes introduced by UNI EN ISO 14122-4 regarding access ladders for machinery, as well as the new national regulatory framework established by UNI 11962:2024. This latter standard governs permanent vertical ladders for buildings, infrastructure, and industrial plants, clarifying their scope of application, safety requirements, and design criteria.
In the first part,
Sabatino Mandolese
, an
AIAS Academy
trainer, will outline the major technical and regulatory changes, analyzing the differences between the two standards, the new developments introduced at both national and international levels, and their impact on worker safety.
The second part will feature
Antonio Notaris
, CEO of
SWS Srl
, who will delve into the topic of emergency rescue for operators on vertical ladders. By analyzing risk scenarios, operational procedures, and available solutions, the session will highlight the essential elements needed to ensure an effective rescue plan and mitigate the consequences of a potential fall or medical emergency while working at heights.
This event is aimed at RSPPs (Prevention and Protection Service Managers), HSE managers, installers, maintenance technicians, and safety professionals.
The Safety Interaction Point is an experiential stand dedicated to RSPPs and HSE professionals.
