Risk assessment in complex organizations represents one of the most delicate challenges for occupational health and safety professionals. Interdependent processes, subcontracting chains, multiple locations and roles, rapid changes, and multi-level interactions make a purely formal or standardized approach inadequate.
In this session, we will analyze how to set up an effective risk assessment in complex environments. This involves integrating traditional hazard analysis with an interpretation of organizational factors, using data collection tools that leverage useful indicators and feedback from the field.
The objective of the session is to provide participants with an operational framework to recognize the typical criticalities of organizational complexity, identify intervention priorities, and develop prevention and protection measures consistent with actual processes—bridging the gap between "work-as-imagined" and "work-as-done."
A specific portion of the intervention will be dedicated to practical criteria for mapping interdependencies and managing assessment updates efficiently. This approach remains rooted in a process-oriented mindset inspired by management systems, with particular reference to the UNI EN ISO 45001 standard.
Valid as a 2-hour refresher course in accordance with Legislative Decree 81/08, in collaboration with the University of Roma Tre
Final test completion is mandatory for certification.
