In today’s landscape, the distinction between cybersecurity and occupational safety is becoming increasingly blurred, and in many cases, non-existent. The growing integration of digital systems and physical infrastructure—such as industrial plants, access control systems, video surveillance, IoT, and IoMT—exposes organizations to hybrid risks, where a cyber incident can translate directly into physical harm to individuals.
A cyberattack can represent a concrete risk to the health and safety of workers. The compromise of OT (Operational Technology) systems or connected IoT (Internet of Things) and IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) devices has already resulted in operational impacts, service disruptions, and potential life-threatening situations.
The goal of this session is to provide an integrated perspective on risk, moving beyond the "siloed" approach between HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and cybersecurity functions to promote shared governance models. We will delve into key regulatory frameworks, emerging requirements (such as NIS2), and best practices for the effective management of cyber-physical risks.

Valid as a 2-hour refresher course in accordance with Legislative Decree 81/08, in collaboration with the University of Roma Tre
Final test completion is mandatory for certification.
